Beautiful Morning Approaching St. Thomas

 photo MorningInStThomas_zpsfbf91a3e.jpg
While we were on the Disney Fantasy one of our ports of call was St. Thomas.  I got up early that morning to get some photos of the ship and the surrounding areas.  One of the places I went was the promenade.  I was walking around watching the early morning joggers finding interesting sites to photo.
I turned around to see this neat island in the middle of the water.  I waited about 45 minutes for the boat to get into position so the rays of sun were hitting the water and land just right.  I started snapping away pleased with my shots.
The original was awesome on its own but I really thought that this was a shot that could use a bit of HDR magic.  This is the a combination of the same shot edited three different ways and then combined.  After this cruise I fell in total love with the islands, this is my happy place.

Disney's Boardwalk Resort

I know this is the “I Heart Disney Cruise Line” blog, but I wanted to include any Disney Pictures that I happen to take, so today I am showing off my photo of the Boardwalk Resort. We were in this area to visit UCF because my oldest baby is shopping colleges.
We stayed at the Swan which is only a short walk and a bridge away from the Boardwalk. As I approached it I was really excited because I have never seen this property and I was treated indeed. Not only was our place pretty, but the walk over showed just how close we were to Epcot. I could see Spaceship Earth right from the bridge! As I continued walking across the bridge I came up to the Atlantic Dance Hall and then saw the friendly pink buildings. It was pretty quiet out with just a few people strolling and a castmember pedaling a bike and buggy.
This photo outing was a short jaunt for a couple of reasons. Number 1, it was so humid out my camera was sweating... ok, not really but it was bad! Number 2, we were heading back to home soon and I had to get packing.

  1. It was pretty cool. You could spend a lifetime taking pictures of Disney and not get bored. Thanks for the comment : )
